Expert Witness & Litigation Support

When the case turns on
where the money went.

Anagram Digital serves as a blockchain expert witness and consulting expert to counsel in disputes involving cryptocurrency and on-chain assets: fund tracing, entity attribution, and transaction reconstruction built to withstand deposition.

01 / The Work

What we do
for legal teams.

Testifying and consulting expert work across the life of a matter, from the first "is there anything here?" read of the on-chain record through expert reports, deposition, and trial.

A

Expert Reports & Testimony

Declarations, affidavits, and expert reports; deposition and trial testimony. Findings stated plainly, certainty separated from inference, methodology documented end to end.

B

Fund Tracing & Asset Recovery

Following value through wallets, exchanges, mixers, bridges, and DeFi protocols, including flows that fan out across thousands of addresses and multiple chains, to locate assets and support recovery.

C

Entity Attribution

Establishing who is behind an address, the question many crypto disputes ultimately reduce to. Built on a proprietary attribution dataset and patented clustering methods developed over eight years.

D

Transaction & Scheme Reconstruction

Translating raw on-chain activity into a clear narrative of what actually happened, from a single disputed transfer to layered schemes spanning mints, swaps, self-dealing, and circular flows.

E

Rebuttal & Critique

Independent review of opposing expert analysis and vendor-tool output: testing attributions, tracing assumptions, and methodology against the underlying record.

F

Discovery & Subpoena Support

Identifying which exchanges, custodians, and services touched the funds, and what to ask them for, so subpoenas and discovery requests land on the right targets the first time.

02 / Matters

Where this
work arises.

01

Restructuring & Insolvency

Reconstructing a debtor's on-chain business, locating estate assets, quantifying intercompany and related-party flows, for debtors, committees, trustees, and examiners.

02

Fraud & Theft

Tracing stolen or misappropriated funds after hacks, investment fraud, and misrepresented token schemes, and connecting the trail to real-world endpoints where recovery is possible.

03

Judgment Enforcement

Establishing what a judgment debtor holds on-chain, which addresses are theirs, and where assets can be reached: the attribution evidence enforcement actions rest on.

04

Securities & Token Disputes

Verifying token-project claims against the on-chain record: distributions and vesting, insider selling, treasury use, governance activity, and whether promised mechanics ever operated.

05

Regulatory & Enforcement

Independent analysis in matters involving regulators and enforcement agencies, on either side, where conclusions must hold against well-resourced scrutiny.

06

Criminal Defense

Independent examination of the tracing behind charges and forfeiture actions, testing whether the government's on-chain narrative is the only one the evidence supports.

03 / Standard

Built to
hold up.

The blockchain is evidence. Every conclusion we offer traces back to specific transactions on a public ledger that opposing experts can examine for themselves. We write our analysis expecting that they will.

01

Transparent methods

No black boxes. Each attribution and tracing step is documented, reproducible, and explained in terms a court can follow.

02

Conservative claims

What is certain is stated as certain; what is inferred is labeled as inference, with the basis given. Overreach is how experts get excluded.

03

Plain language

Complex on-chain mechanics translated for judges, juries, and arbitrators without losing technical precision.

04 / The Expert

One expert,
start to finish.

Max Galka
Max Galka

Every engagement is handled personally by Max Galka, founder and former CEO of Elementus, the blockchain analytics firm whose attribution systems served financial institutions, enterprises, and government agencies.

He served as a testifying expert in the Celsius Network bankruptcy, where his valuation testimony was credited in a published opinion of the court, and was retained as blockchain forensics expert by the official creditors' committees in both the Celsius and BlockFi bankruptcies. Over eight years he has built proprietary entity-attribution data and patented clustering methods; before that, he spent nearly a decade as a fixed-income trader at tier-one investment banks.

Counsel work directly with the expert who performs the analysis and gives the testimony, not with a team whose work an expert later signs.

05 / Process

How engagements work.

01

Conflict check

A short call on the matter and the parties. Conflicts are checked and answered promptly, typically the same day.

02

Scope & retention

A defined question, deliverable, and timeline. Work is performed at the direction of counsel, with privilege and confidentiality handled accordingly.

03

Analysis

Principal-led work on the on-chain record, with interim findings surfaced early, including when the evidence does not support the theory.

04

Deliver & testify

Reports, declarations, and exhibits built for the record, and testimony at deposition, hearing, or trial as the matter requires.

06 / Contact

Discuss a
matter.

Inquiries are handled directly by the principal and treated as confidential. Conflict checks are typically answered the same day.
